CHRIS MCKINLEY
Owner / MPAS, PA-C
Chris is an accomplished Physician Associate (PA-C) with diverse experience across multiple medical disciplines, including Functional & Integrative Medicine, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, Orthopedics, and Combat/Trauma Medicine. A dedicated US Navy Veteran, Chris has spent years providing medical support to individuals and government agencies on international assignments, further expanding his skill set and understanding of global health challenges.
He holds a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center with training in Orthopedic and Emergency Medicine. Chris also earned an dual Associate of Applied Science in Physician Studies and Surgical Assistant Studies fromPhysician Assistant Studies and Surgeon Assistant Studies from Cuyahoga Community College and completed undergraduate studies in Health Sciences at Cleveland State University.
From 2017, Chris focused his attention on delivering comprehensive care to individuals in his community, specializing in psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and integrating functional and holistic components into successful treatment plans for adults. He spent six years at Carolina Dunes Behavioral Health in Leland, NC, working on a geriatric inpatient psychiatric floor, alongside outpatient treatment at Trinity Wellness Center of Wilmington.
In January 2024, Chris, along with his wife, launched Coastline Wellness, where he now provides a wide range of services in Functional Medicine and Integrative Wellness and Functional psychiatry and medication management. His root-cause approach helps patients live better, longer lives through hormone optimizing, nutritional supplements, vitamin injections, IV therapies, medical weight loss, peptide therapy, and Ketamine IV therapy for treatment-resistant depression. Chris serves patients aged 25–99, offering personalized care to improve immediate and long-term health outcomes.
HAYLEY MITCHELL
PA-C, PMH-C
Hayley Mitchell is a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMH-C), providing compassionate care to postpartum and behavioral health patients at Coastline Wellness. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, graduating Cum Laude.
With a focus on adult patients, Hayley performs psychiatric evaluations and medication management for a variety of mental health conditions, including postpartum depression, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, adjustment disorder, schizophrenia, and personality disorders. She combines her extensive education, training, and patient-centered approach to help individuals achieve mental well-being and lead healthier lives.
When she’s not working, Hayley enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and one-year-old baby, making the most of precious family moments.
CASEY HERTELL
DNP, CNM, WHNP
Cassandra “Casey” Hartell is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in women’s health and four years of experience as a midwife. She recently joined Coastline Wellness after relocating from Cary, NC and is now accepting appointments beginning in March. At Coastline Wellness, Casey will care for female patients seeking support with hormone health and weight management, as well as women looking for expert guidance across the full spectrum of women’s sexual and reproductive health.
Casey earned her B.S. in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2013. She subsequently served in the US Navy as a Navy Nurse for five years, including deployment aboard the USNS Comfort. Following her military service, she completed her Doctorate at Georgetown University with a concentration in Women’s Health and Midwifery.
Casey is committed to providing respectful, evidence-based, and comprehensive care to women throughout all stages of life. Her clinical background includes extensive experience in hospital-based and out-of-hospital birth settings, and she has developed a strong professional interest in hormone health and wellness.
Outside of her clinical practice, Casey enjoys gardening, staying active, and spending time outdoors with her husband and two children. In her leisure time, she most enjoys reading while relaxing in the sunshine.
STAR MCKINLEY
Co-Owner & Managing Director
Star brings over a decade of expertise in healthcare, wellness, and personal development to her role at Coastline Wellness. Holding a B.A. in Communications/Media and an M.A.Ed in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University, She has cultivated a broad career that spans communications, real estate, and holistic health services.
As the Co-Owner, Managing Director, and Insurance Billing Liaison at Coastline, Star plays a key role in assisting providers with patient care duties, particularly in the delivery of comprehensive integrative health and mental health services.
Star is also the Founder, CEO, and former President of Suiting Warriors, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization est. 2012-2022. Under her leadership, Suiting Warriors helped over 6,000 veterans prepare for job fairs, interviews, and career transitions, earning recognition for her outstanding commitment to empowering others. Notably, she has received awards from the Honorary Vietnam Veterans of America (New Jersey) and Distinguished Veteran Service Organization for ESGR Delaware, in recognition of her support for veterans in career transition.
Star’s leadership and achievements have earned her significant recognition, including multiple awards for her service to veterans and her career accomplishments. With her diverse expertise and deep commitment to personal growth and community well-being, she continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of those she serves.
